Vefa Group, has now started to produce the walls in full automated way more economically and rapidly with its Neopan line that has started with its production.
The Neopan composite panel line, which has been designed by Vefa in order to cater for its production needs in more efficient way, has started with the production, following the tests that have been carried out.
Vefa, which has been continuing with the R&D activities since 2006 in order to actualize the panel production in an suitable form for the prefabrication and containers, has finalized its activities by commissioning its new composite panel. Vefa, which has designed a panel line, which also provides for the composite panel form and expansions by departing from the systems that produce sandwich panels for industrial buildings, has contacted an producer company, which is the leader in its field, in order to implement its aim in rapid and in smooth way. Assembly phase has started following the manufacturing phase, which has lasted for 7 months, for the system that contains forms and expansions that are requested additionally on top of the features of the standard sandwich panel lines. The time for assembly and commissioning of the panel line has taken 100 days. The process, which has started with the planning and preparation activities and which has continued with the assembly of the line on the production plant, has been completed with the cost of 5 million Euro approximately.
Rock wool as the insulating material
Vefa Group Investments Manager, Metin Celebi, has underlined that the panel line with its 100 length is the first and the only line in Turkey with regards to the features that it has and stated that they are now able to do away with the limits on the production capacities of the site buildings with this way. Celebi, who has stated also that they have gained cost benefits due to the fact that they have reached to the result they have targeted with success, has told the differences of the new full automatic wall line from the similar ones as: “The standard panel lines in Turkey use polyurethane core materials as the insulating material since they materialize productions for industrial construction only. This material, which does not provide non flammability, could be acceptable for classical industrial buildings. But, it is not a suitable material according to the requested standards for site buildings, which are used in many places around the world and especially in BDT countries. We can use rock wool, which provides non flammability as the insulating material, thanks to our new panel line.”
1,25 m width panels, whose one face is concrete panel
Metin Celebi, who has stated that, the panel line is different from others with its feature, where panels that contain EPS as the insulating material for situations, when the non flammability feature is not required and when more economical solutions are preferred, has explained the most attracting points as: “one face of panel, which is produced by the panel line, can be sheet metal and the other face can be concrete panel or it can be produced with sheet metal on both faces. In addition to all of these, panels with 1,25 m width can be produced on the line.”
Manager for Investments, Metin Celebi, who has underlined that all of these features are addition to the features of the standard panel lines, has stated that all of the products that emerge from panel lines producing in Turkey can be produced on the new line of Vefa.
While Vefa has started to use its wall panels that emerge from its new panel line on its prefabricated site buildings that it produces, it had materialized the first export of its products that have been produced on the new line.

Vefa Group is increasing its effectiveness in the Gulf with Vefa Prefabricated UAE LLC.
Vefa Group, which has succeeded to deliver its products to more than 30 countries up to now, has set up partnership with the Al Habtoor group in Dubai as part of its target to increase its export, which reaches to 50% of its total production.
Vefa Group has riveted its presence in Dubai, the capital city of United Arab Emirates that attract the most attention and the interest amongst Gulf States with Vefa Prefabricated UAE LLC, which it has participated with its foundation. The new company, which has been jointly founded with Al Habtoor Trading Enterprises LLC, which is one of the important groups in Dubai and which has been growing rapidly especially in the field of construction for the last ten years, has put the marketing and sale of its products that are produced in Vefa’s plants in Turkey as its target primarily under the management of the general manager, who has been transferred from the headquarters of Vefa in Istanbul. Vefa Group, which will cater for the needs of the Al Habtoor Group that it has engaged in partnership with the new company with Dubai headquarters as it has been created with the expansion shown in the construction sector during the last few years, is also planning to cater for the requirements of the other construction companies that have activities in Dubai in an effective way.
The economic crises is loosing its effect.
As it is well known, global economical crises has shown itself as the hitch for the large investments in important centers of the Gulf States and in Dubai especially. It can be said that the crises, which is having less effect due to the economical measures taken around the world all at the same time, has not made the Gulf states to distract from being a target for point of attraction, especially in the tourism field. Vefa Group, which will have its activities with Vefa Prefabricated UAE LLC in the region, where investment preparation are being carried out for the future with this target in mind, is continuing with its investments in order to take its place on the projects that are expected to speed up every day.
Abudabi, Qatar and Kuwait are amongst the targets…
Vefa Group, which will continue to produce and assemble site buildings and camp buildings of large construction projects as it has been so far and in more serious way from now on, is targeting to undertake the mass villa projects and luxurious housing projects in the region. Steelife is continuing with its technological investments.
Steelife has added a system, which had not been available in Turkey, in to its machinery equipment list by carrying out one more new technological investment despite the crises. The aim here is to increase more the resistance and the stability of the buildings produced.
Steelife, which is the leader of steel construction system that leaves all of the other technologies behind with its confidence against earthquake, is continuing with its investments despite the economical crises that is faced. The most important feature of the new system is the fact that it is used by Steelife for the first time in Turkey. Steelife, which has brought in Turkey the new system that has been developed in the USA, where the steel construction technology is used widely and whose software power has been developed in Australia with the works that have been carried out, has contributed to the fact that the products it produces became longer lasting and more durable as well as it had caused for its capacity to increase.
One of the most important contributions that the CAD / CAM controlled wall profile machinery system, which has been placed on the Steelife production line, is the change of the system on the intermediate connections, which provide for the increase of the resistance of the buildings. According to this, C profiles have replaced the U profiles that have been used for intermediate connection elements. The other benefit has came about as the implementation of the deep settling on the connection points of the construction profiles that are produced in the system. In this way, it has been possible for the OSB on the façade that is worn over the construction to be connected with bolts as the alternative to the system that is used with screws for connection to the profiles in order to provide for full contact for the materials like the plaster board.
While the Vefa Group Investments Manager, Metin Celebi was talking about the benefits that the new system provides, he has mentioned that the bolt head becomes level with the profile surface due to the deep settling and underlined that 50% better rupture resistance has been obtained when compared to the connection with screw. Mechanical Engineer, Metin Celebi, who states that the connection with bolt provides more advantage when it is compared with the connection with screw, has continued that as the fore most, the negative points that can be created by the weakness might occur with time on the drill bit bolt has been prevented. Metin Celebi, who has underlined that this innovation does not mean the buildings that have used screw connections are unsafe and further emphasized that the aim is to eliminate the negative issues that might occur in long periods of time and to provide for more resistance on the buildings, which are already in line with the requirements of the standards. As the last point, Celebi has mentioned that the width adjustment of the C profiles between 50 and 250 mm is carried out in complete automated way due to the new system and paid attention to the contributions it provides for the production capacity and the line speed of Steelife.
